Conservation of Hornbills in Thailand
How long do you think one person can have love one? 10
years?, 20 years? or always? But hornbills can only have one pair forever. Most
nests are built in tree hollows. A typical one began as a hole pecked by a
woodpecker that is enlarged by fungus. The female is sealed inside. The slit is
about a half inch wide: wide enough to pass food through but narrow enough to
seal out potential predators such monkeys raptors and other predators that feed
on eggs and young birds. If the male is killed, then go to the food for the
female and the child? What do you think?
I think if a male is
killed while looking for food, it must affect his family. By nature, the female
hornbill will not fly out to feed if baby bird is not mature and makes them
starve. The hornbill is an animal that has a Death Penalty Behavior. When one
of them dies, the other will die. That is the end of propagate species. Humans
are the main cause of the decline in number of hornbills, so we should help the
conservation of hornbills. First, do not raise hornbills and let it free in
natural because if you raise 1 hornbill, it just likes killing 3 hornbills.
Other than, forest ecosystems will be lost. Second, support for the study of
hornbills to help people understand the natural habitat of hornbills. Finally,
use bird conservation campaign to Inclusion of power to support and disseminate
bird watching activities as well as conserve birds and habitat for a long time.
At last, conservation is just not about a group or a person,
but it is duty of everyone to look after hornbills and ecosystem. We can do it
now by learn natural of hornbills to instill a new generation turned to the
importance of hornbills even more.
